‘ADDA’ redefines gallery space
Imagine walking into a big, old building that feels like a mix of a home and a street.
There's a huge, soft bed in the middle where people can sit and relax together.
Outside, the walls are covered with colorful letters in Bengali and English, making the building look like a giant, poetic street sign.
Inside, there are different artworks that make you think about memories, identity, and the spaces we share.
One part looks like a kitchen and bathroom mixed together, using smells and touches to remind you of daily life.
Another part has a chessboard with only pawns, showing how listening to others can bring people together.
The exhibition is called 'ADDA: The Third Space' and is all about creating a place where people can connect and feel a sense of togetherness, just like in a Bengali 'adda' where long talks and warm connections happen.
