Kushner may visit Israel for Gaza disarmament talks, source says
Important leaders are trying to find a way to bring peace to a place called Gaza.
Jared Kushner, who works for U.S. President Donald Trump, might visit Israel next week to talk about it.
Trump made a plan with 20 steps to help Gaza.
The plan says a group called Hamas would give up its weapons.
Israeli soldiers would slowly leave, and a special peacekeeping force would help keep people safe.
The leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said no to this plan.
Hamas said yes, but only if Israel first does what it promised, like leaving and stopping attacks.
The quiet time that was agreed has already been broken many times, and many people in Gaza have been hurt or killed.
The people talking hope to find a way to make the plan work so everyone can live in peace.
Jared Kushner may visit Israel next week for talks on Gaza, a source familiar with the matter said.
The goal of the visit is to find a pathway to implement Trump's 20-point plan for Gaza proposed in late 2025.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly rejected Trump's plan.
Hamas said it agreed to the plan, but implementation depends on Israel meeting its commitments, including withdrawal and halting attacks.
Kushner also plans to meet mediators from Egypt, Qatar and Turkey in Cairo, according to Axios.
