ACB Traces DJB Tender Payments Linked to Satyendar Jain

The Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch is investigating how a sewage-treatment contract was awarded.

It says officials changed the tender rules so one company, Euroteck, had an advantage.

The company allegedly hired another firm connected to a person known to Satyendar Jain.

The ACB says that firm received Rs 2.71 crore without doing work.

It also alleges that a former Delhi Jal Board chief executive received Rs 1.52 crore through an intermediary.

The allegations concern meetings held in August and December 2021.

Jain says he was not a technical expert and followed recommendations from DJB engineers.

He also says investigators have not shown that any bribe went directly to him.

The court was asked to allow questioning of a former DJB consultant.
