Hyderabad Launches C-Mitra for Cybercrime Prevention
The Hyderabad City Police have started a new program called C-Mitra to help people report and prevent cybercrimes.
This program allows people to report cybercrimes through a helpline or an online portal instead of going to a police station.
The C-Mitra team uses artificial intelligence to help create the report and sends it to the victim to sign and mail back.
If the loss is more than Rs 3 lakh, the cybercrime police will investigate; otherwise, it will be sent to the local police.
The success of this program depends on the public's cooperation and support.
The police hope that this will help them work better and faster to solve cybercrimes.
Hyderabad City Police launched the C-Mitra initiative to prevent and address cybercrimes.
Victims can report cybercrimes through a helpline (1930) or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
The C-Mitra team uses AI to generate accurate reports, which victims must sign and mail back.
Cases with losses exceeding Rs 3 lakh will be investigated by the cybercrime police; smaller cases will be handled by local police.
Public cooperation is essential for the success of the C-Mitra initiative and improving police performance.
