A court that hears anti-corruption cases found former government official Alugunuri Roshaiah guilty.

The case involved a bribe connected to land records.

Prosecutors said he demanded and accepted Rs.10,000 in 2013.

The money was allegedly requested to change the name on agricultural land records.

It was also connected to issuing a Pattadar Passbook.

The court sentenced him to two years in prison with hard labor.

He must also pay a Rs.5,000 fine.

If he does not pay, he will serve three more months in regular imprisonment.
