Kerala Seeks Full Fertilizer Supply for Rabi Season
The agriculture minister of Kerala, P. Prasad, has asked the central government for help because farmers in Kerala are having a hard time getting enough fertilizer.
The state needs a lot of fertilizer for the Rabi season, which is a time when certain crops are grown.
The government has promised to give Kerala a certain amount of fertilizer, but so far, only about 43% of it has arrived.
This is causing problems for the farmers.
The minister wants the central government to send the rest of the fertilizer quickly so that the farmers can grow their crops properly.
Kerala Agriculture Minister P. Prasad seeks immediate intervention for fertilizer supply.
Farmers face challenges due to a 57% shortfall in fertilizer allocation.
Kerala has received only 43% of the allocated Urea, MOP, and DAP.
The minister urges the Centre to sanction the full allocated quantity urgently.
Timely availability of fertilizers is crucial for optimal crop productivity.
