KNRUHS Waives Readmission Fee for Medicos on Maternity Leave
The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences in Hyderabad has made things easier for female doctors who are studying to become specialists.
If they take time off for having a baby, they won't have to pay a big fee to come back to school.
The university will also make sure their study time is extended by however long they took off.
This is great news because before, there was no clear rule about this, and some doctors were worried.
Now, if a female doctor takes less than 90 days off, she can come back right away.
If she takes more than 90 days, she has to fill out some forms, but she still won't have to pay the fee.
The university is telling all the schools to make sure this happens smoothly.
KNRUHS has waived the ₹15,000 readmission fee for female PG medicos returning after maternity leave.
The study period for eligible students will be extended by the duration of their maternity leave.
Principals must inform KNRUHS of maternity leave requests and ensure timely documentation.
Students on leave up to 90 days can rejoin immediately upon reporting to the college.
For leaves exceeding 91 days, a formal readmission application is required, but the fee is waived.
