Rural Ministry, LIC Team Up for Insurance by 2047
Imagine the government wants everyone in the countryside to have insurance by the year 2047.
They've teamed up with a big insurance company, LIC, to make this happen.
They started a program called 'Bima Sakhi Yojana'.
This program trains women from local groups to be insurance helpers, called 'Bima Sakhis'.
These women will go to every village to explain insurance and help people get it.
This will help women become financially independent and also protect families from unexpected disasters.
The goal is to make rural areas stronger by giving everyone a safety net.
The Ministry of Rural Development partners with LIC for 'Insurance for All by 2047'.
The 'Bima Sakhi Yojana' launches to empower women and provide economic security.
Trained women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will be 'Bima Sakhis' at the Gram Panchayat level.
The scheme aims to create new employment opportunities and enhance women's workforce participation.
The initiative aligns with government priorities like Jan-Dhan and Digital India, offering a financial shield.
