Rajasthan Tehsildar, Assistant, Broker Arrested Accepting Rs 55,000 Bribe
Some government workers in India are accused of doing something against the rules.
They were in charge of registering land, which is like writing down who owns a piece of property.
A person who bought land needed an official paper from them.
The workers reportedly said they would only give the paper if the person paid them extra money.
That extra money is called a bribe, and it is not allowed.
The person who bought the land reported what happened to the police who fight corruption.
The officers set up a secret plan to catch the workers doing the wrong thing.
When the money was handed over, the officers arrested the three people.
Now those people will face a trial for breaking the law.
Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar, Junior Assistant Devilal, and broker Ashok were arrested red-handed in Viratnagar, Kotputli-Behror district.
The three accused allegedly demanded and accepted a Rs 55,000 bribe to hand over a registered land deed to a complainant.
The complainant had purchased 0.0742 hectares of agricultural land in Amloda for Rs 1,46,000 and completed all registration formalities on May 26, 2026.
The bribe demand was verified on Tuesday following a complaint lodged with the ACB outpost on August 11.
The ACB will register a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and continue its investigation.
