BEML Shares Trade Ex-Stock Split Monday; September Quarter Results Due
Imagine you have a pizza cut into 4 big slices.
A stock split is like cutting each of those slices in half, so now you have 8 smaller slices.
You still have the same amount of pizza, but there are more slices.
BEML is doing this with its company shares.
One share will become two, but the price of each share will be cut in half.
This makes it easier for more people to buy shares.
BEML will also announce how much money the company made in the last three months on Wednesday.
The stock price went down a little last Friday.
BEML shares will trade ex-stock split starting Monday, November 3, following a 1:2 ratio.
This means each share of ₹10 will be divided into two shares of ₹5.
The company is also scheduled to announce its September quarter financial results on Wednesday, November 5.
This corporate action is BEML's first split or bonus since spinning off its land assets business in 2022.
BEML shares closed down 1% on Friday at ₹4,391, with a 6.5% gain year-to-date, outperforming the Nifty PSE index.
