Fadnavis Says Patient Care Disruptions Unacceptable as MARD Withdraws Strike

Some doctors in Mumbai take care of sick people at big hospitals.

This week, many of them stopped working to protest something the government did.

The government's medical council decided to register some homeopathy doctors who took a special modern pharmacology course.

The resident doctors did not think that was right.

When they stopped working, lots of patients had to wait for a very long time, and some went home without help.

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, said it is not okay for protests to stop patients from getting treatment.

A very important court called the Bombay High Court also stepped in and asked the doctors to go back to work right away.

The court promised to listen to the doctors' problems later.

After that, the doctors' group called MARD called off their strike.

Now the doctors are back at work, and the court will hear their side of the story.
