2025 Bollywood: Dhurandhar Dominates, Regional Hits Shine
In 2025, Indian cinema saw a mix of big hits and big flops.
The film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, became a massive success, breaking box office records with its patriotic and action-packed storyline.
Other films like Chhaava and Sitaare Zameen Par also did well, focusing on historical and social themes.
However, many high-budget Bollywood movies, such as War 2 and Sikandar, failed to impress audiences.
On the other hand, smaller regional films like Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate, Su From So, and Mahavatar Narsimha made huge profits and were loved by audiences.
These films showed that even with smaller budgets, Indian cinema can create compelling and successful stories.
The year also saw a mix of nationalistic themes and diverse storytelling, with films like Homebound and Humans In The Loop gaining critical acclaim for their social relevance and unique perspectives.
Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, became a box office record-breaker with over ₹800 crore worldwide.
High-budget Bollywood films like War 2 and Sikandar failed to impress audiences and underperformed at the box office.
Regional films such as Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate (Gujarati), Su From So (Kannada), and Mahavatar Narsimha (Hindi) achieved high profits and popularity.
