Australia Sets 2035 Emissions Reduction Target
Australia is making a new promise to help stop climate change.
They plan to cut down on pollution by a lot more than before, aiming for a 62-70% reduction compared to 2005 levels by 2035.
The government has set aside over 8 billion Australian dollars to help make this happen.
This is part of their plan to stick to the Paris Climate Agreement.
It's to show they are working hard to protect the environment, which also helps the economy.
The Prime Minister said the new goal is based on science and is a practical plan.
Australia announced a new target to cut emissions by 62-70% from 2005 levels by 2035.
