Singapore VC Says He Prefers AI Subscriptions Over Interns
A man named Marc Palet lives in Singapore and helps new companies get money to grow.
He is 26 years old.
Marc says he would rather pay for smart computer helpers, called AI, than hire a student worker called an intern.
The AI helpers cost him about $120 every month.
He says an intern needs a whole month of training and then leaves after just three months.
The AI learns to do things exactly the way Marc likes.
It writes notes after meetings, helps make reports, and checks the company's money papers.
The AI also reads his messages and news and keeps his notes fresh by itself.
With the boring work done, Marc has more time to write and find new companies.
He thinks AI plus him is stronger than him plus an intern.
Marc Palet, a 26-year-old Singapore-based venture capitalist at OMVC, says he prefers about Rs 11,419 ($120) a month of AI subscriptions over an intern.
Since starting his VC career, Palet has invested in over 12 AI companies.
His AI stack includes Claude, ChatGPT, n8n and transcription APIs, plus coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor and Replit.
His automation summarises founder meetings recorded through Fireflies, drafts quarterly limited partner reports and assists with audit work.
Palet says AI has freed up time, lifting his LinkedIn output from one article every two months to one every three weeks.
