Indian Automakers Report Record Sales in 2025
In 2025, two big car companies in India, JSW MG Motor and Mahindra, sold a lot more vehicles than before.
JSW MG Motor sold 19% more cars and bikes compared to 2024, and they even sold over 100,000 electric vehicles.
Mahindra sold 25% more vehicles in December 2025, with their SUVs being very popular.
They also sold a lot more tractors because farmers had good harvests and nice weather for planting.
Both companies are doing really well!
JSW MG Motor India reported a 19% year-on-year sales growth in 2025, selling 70,554 units.
Mahindra & Mahindra sold 86,090 vehicles in December 2025, a 25% year-on-year growth.
Mahindra's SUV sales reached 50,946 units in December 2025, a 23% year-on-year increase.
Mahindra's tractor sales surged by 39% year-on-year in December 2025, driven by favorable agricultural conditions.
MG SELECT, MG Motor's luxury retail channel, saw a 38% month-on-month wholesale growth.
