Princess Ilyana of Pahang marries British Ferrari GT3 racing driver
A princess from Malaysia got married to a race car driver from Britain.
Her name is Princess Ilyana, and she comes from the royal family of Pahang.
Her new husband is Christopher Froggatt, who races a Ferrari around tracks in Europe.
The wedding took place at a big, fancy hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
The bride wore a sparkling diamond tiara from the royal collection and a special gown made by a Malaysian designer.
The ceremony followed Islamic traditions and included gifts, rings, and a special blessing called merenjis.
Princess Ilyana's father, Sultan Abdullah, came to the wedding.
He used to be the King of Malaysia, where nine royal families take turns being king for five years at a time.
Now the racing driver and the princess start their new life together as husband and wife.
Princess Ilyana of Pahang married British GT racing driver Christopher Lionel Froggatt at the Shangri-La hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
The Islamic ceremony included the sunnah prayer, the presentation of the 'mas kahwin', the exchange of rings, and the 'merenjis' blessing ritual.
Princess Ilyana wore Queen Azizah's Diamond Tiara paired with a gown designed by Malaysian designer Radzuan Radziwill.
Froggatt, 32, drives a Ferrari 296 GT3 and won the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Bronze Cup in 2021 and 2023.
Sultan Abdullah, Princess Ilyana's father and Malaysia's former 16th King, attended the solemnisation along with other royal family members.
