December Cold Moon: Final Supermoon of the Year Arrives
This December, there's a special full moon called the Cold Moon.
It's the last big moon, or supermoon, of the year!
Supermoons happen when the moon is a little closer to Earth, making it look a bit bigger and brighter.
This one is called the Cold Moon because December is usually a very cold and dark month.
It will be fully bright early in the morning on Thursday, December 4th.
Even though it has a special name, it will look like other supermoons you've seen before.
It's also known by other cool names like the Snow Moon or Winter Maker Moon.
The final supermoon of the year, named the Cold Moon, will appear on Thursday, December 4.
It will reach its full phase at 3:44 AM IST.
The moon is called the Cold Moon because December signifies the beginning of the coldest and darkest months.
Other traditional names for this supermoon include Drift Clearing Moon, Frost Exploding Trees Moon, and Snow Moon.
The upcoming supermoon will not look different from previous supermoons.
