IMD Predicts Heavy Rain in Tripura This Week
The weather service says Tripura will have a lot of rain from tomorrow until the end of the week.
Some areas, especially in South Tripura, could get a lot of rain, up to 20 cm.
Other parts of Tripura will also get heavy rain.
This follows heavy rain last month that caused many people to lose their homes.
IMD forecasts heavy to very heavy rain in Tripura from August 21 to August 25.
Heavy to very heavy rain of 7-20 cm expected in South Tripura district.
Heavy rain of 7-11 cm expected in the rest of the districts.
The forecast covers the period from Thursday to Saturday.
Last month, heavy rain left at least 840 people from 250 families homeless.
