PJP Dam Sees Steady Inflows, Supports Power Generation
The PJP Dam is doing well!
It's like a big water storage tank.
It's getting filled up with water coming in, and some is going out to make electricity and help with farming.
The water level is a little below full, so there's space for more water.
Right now, there's enough water for power and irrigation.
The people in charge are watching the water levels carefully, especially with the rainy season starting.
Priyadarshini Jurala Project (PJP) Dam water level at 316.590 meters with 6.081 TMC gross storage.
Inflows at 21,000 cusecs, with total outflow of 17,676 cusecs, increasing reservoir storage.
Hydroelectric power station using 15,804 cusecs for electricity generation.
1,500 cusecs used for Nettampadu Lift Irrigation, 315 cusecs for Koilsagar Lift Scheme.
No water released through the spillway; dam is below full capacity with no flood risk.
