Assam Floods: Central Support Amid Rising Rainfall and Uncertainty

The big floods in Assam have mostly stopped, but many people still can't go home because their houses are damaged or covered in mud.

The central government, led by Home Minister Amit Shah, has promised full help to clean up and rebuild.

A special team from the government checked how bad the damage is.

The weather office says more heavy rain is expected in the next few days, which could make things worse.

The state chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, said that many people can't return because roads are blocked and houses are ruined.

He also said the state can handle the situation without needing help from other countries.
