Jubilant Pharmova to Double RUBY-FILL Production in Quebec

Jubilant Pharmova to Double RUBY-FILL Production in Quebec

Jubilant Pharmova plans to spend CAD 94.5 million to upgrade and expand its radiopharmaceutical factory in Kirkland, Quebec.

The Canadian government will contribute CAD 23.8 million.

The work is intended to let the factory make twice as much of a product called RUBY-FILL.

RUBY-FILL helps hospitals make a radioactive material used in heart scans.

The company says more customers have been buying it, and its customer base doubled in three years.

The project will also increase capacity for other products in the company’s radiopharmaceutical pipeline.

Jubilant says the expansion will help meet demand and support jobs and supply of these medicines.
