India Waives Parking Fees for Stranded UK Royal Navy Jet
A UK Royal Navy F-35 fighter jet had to make an emergency landing in India because of bad weather and a problem with its systems.
The jet, worth a lot of money, was part of a group of ships and planes from the UK.
It landed at an airport in India and stayed there for over a month.
During this time, India provided security and helped with repairs.
After the plane was fixed, it left India.
As a friendly gesture, India decided not to charge the UK for parking the jet at the airport.
India waived Rs 9 lakh parking fees for a UK Royal Navy F-35 jet.
The jet made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport on June 14 due to weather and a hydraulic failure.
The aircraft was part of the UK's HMS Prince of Wales Carrier Strike Group.
The jet was kept under heavy security provided by the CISF.
The aircraft departed on July 22 after repairs.
