Assam Clears Startup Policy, University, and Teacher Reforms
The government in Assam has made several new decisions to help people in the state.
They have created a new plan called the Startup and Innovation Policy to support new businesses, from having ideas to getting money, with a total of Rs 397 crore.
They are also building a new university called Su-Ka-Pha University to offer better college education.
Additionally, teachers and librarians in colleges will get promotions faster, starting from when they first became eligible, which makes them happy.
Lastly, a young woman cricketer named Uma Chetry was given Rs 25 lakh for doing a great job in a recent World Cup.
Assam Cabinet approved the Startup and Innovation Policy 2025-30 with a financial implication of Rs 397 crore.
The policy aims to support startups with grants and a capital venture fund up to Rs 10 crore.
A new greenfield university, Su-Ka-Pha University, will be established, preferably in Charaideo district.
Reforms in Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) will allow promotions for teachers and librarians to be effective from the date of eligibility.
Cricketer Uma Chetry will receive a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh for her performance in the Women's World Cup.
