Jharkhand Students Protest Alleged Exam Irregularities at Vidhan Sabha

Some students in a place called Jharkhand, in India, were not happy because they thought their exams and job recruitment were not fair.

They believed that the people who run the exams did not follow the rules.

So the students marched to the Vidhan Sabha, which is like the state's big meeting house, to tell the leaders what happened.

The police put up barricades to stop them and even used a water cannon, a machine that shoots very strong water, to try to keep the crowd away.

Some leaders from a political party called JLKM came to support the students.

One of those leaders, Devendra Nath Mahto, is on a hunger strike, which means he is not eating food to show how serious the problem is.

He said the barbed wires hurt even more than the hunger strike, and that the government will have to listen.

Another leader, Jairam Kumar Mahato, said the protest will stop once the students' demands are met.

The students want the government to fix the exams and recruitment so everything is fair and honest.
