Naidu Urges Statewide Cleanliness Movement and Greener Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, wants people across the state to keep their surroundings clean.

He said cleanliness should be everyone’s job, not just the government’s.

Awards were given to groups and people working on cleanliness and environmental goals.

The state plans to give schools, villages and towns cleanliness rankings.

It is also working on treating wastewater and turning rubbish into useful things like fertiliser, biogas and electricity.

Naidu encouraged people to use cleaner energy, plant trees and use electric vehicles.

The state is also setting up equipment and centres to collect and manage waste.

He said the government plans to spend Rs 1.30 lakh crore on rural development over the next five years.
