Medical body challenges NTA anti-leak measures, seeks stricter insider law

A medical association is worried that exam papers could still be leaked.

It asked the Supreme Court whether the National Testing Agency’s safeguards are strong enough.

The association said people who are allowed to handle secret exam papers might misuse that access.

It wants the law to clearly punish people who copy, share or reveal exam material.

It also wants these actions treated as especially serious offences.

The proposed law is called the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Act, 2026.

The association believes stronger punishments could help stop insiders from leaking papers.

Experts have also discussed online exams, but the article says the debate over exam formats continues.
