Man United's Midfield Absence: Why No Summer Signings?
Manchester United spent a lot of money on new players, but didn't get a new midfielder.
Fans are wondering why, especially since the team's captain, Bruno Fernandes, could use more help.
The team already has players in that position, and the coach, Ruben Amorim, thinks the current players, like Mainoo, need to compete for their spots.
The team could have sold players like Casemiro, but they didn't.
Manchester United spent £215 million in the 2025 summer transfer window.
The club did not sign a midfielder, despite interest in Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton.
An insider stated a midfielder was 'never a priority'.
Current midfield options include Fernandes, Casemiro, Ugarte, Mainoo, and Mount.
Kobbie Mainoo was denied a loan request and must compete for playing time.
