UPI P2P Collect Requests Banned from October 2025
Starting October 1, 2025, a way of asking for money using UPI is stopping because of scammers.
This feature let people request payments.
To make sure payments are safe, this change is happening.
You can still pay with QR codes or by typing in payment IDs.
Also, banks are now charging fees to companies that handle UPI payments for businesses.
This should not affect the way people send money to each other, but can affect the costs for businesses.
NPCI is banning UPI P2P 'collect requests' from October 1, 2025.
The feature allowed users to request money from others via UPI.
The ban is due to rising fraud concerns with the feature.
NPCI has instructed UPI member banks and apps to implement the changes.
