Andhra Pradesh Revises Additional Pension Rates for Elderly
The Andhra Pradesh government will give some older pensioners more money.
People who have completed 70 years will receive an extra 10% of their basic pension instead of 7%.
People who have completed 75 years will receive 15% instead of 12%.
The extra pension rates for people aged 80 and older will not change.
These rates range from 20% at age 80 to 50% at age 100.
The new rates begin with the December 2026 pension.
That pension will be paid from January 1, 2027.
The government described the decision as financial support for elderly people.
Additional pension for beneficiaries who have completed 70 years will rise from 7% to 10% of basic pension.
The rate for beneficiaries who have completed 75 years will increase from 12% to 15%.
Rates remain unchanged at 20% for those aged 80, rising to 50% for those aged 100.
Finance principal secretary Peeyush Kumar issued GO Ms No. 126 approving the revisions.
The revised rates apply from December 2026 and will be payable from January 1, 2027.
