Modest Indian start as Spanish duo leads Swiss Ladies Open

A big golf tournament called the Swiss Ladies Open started in Switzerland.

Golf is a game where players try to hit a small ball into a hole with as few strokes as possible.

Three golfers from India played in the first round: Pranavi Urs, Diksha Dagar, and Tvesa Malik.

Pranavi finished at one under par, which means she played slightly better than the expected number of strokes.

Diksha finished at par, the expected number, while Tvesa was one over par.

Two golfers from Spain, Luna Sobron Galmes and Amaia Latorre, were the early leaders with a great score of six under par.

Alice Hewson from England won this tournament two years in a row and is trying to win it a third time.

She had a small rough patch at the start of her round, being one over par after two holes.

Many players had not finished their first round yet when the scores were reported.

The last golfer to win this event three years in a row was the famous Swedish player Annika Sörenstam.
