Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia Discuss Strait of Hormuz Security

Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia talked about keeping the Strait of Hormuz safe.

Iran’s foreign minister held separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

They discussed diplomacy and recent events in the region.

The calls happened after naval clashes involving Iran and the United States.

The United States said Iran fired missiles at two American warships.

The United States also said it struck three Iranian oil carriers.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard confirmed attacks but gave a different explanation for what happened.

It said Iranian forces were responding to alleged harassment and a blockade by U.S.-linked vessels.
