Bradford returns from elbow surgery, Rangers blank Giants 6-0
Cody Bradford is a baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers.
He hurt his elbow and needed surgery in June 2025, so he had not pitched in a real game for 679 days.
On Wednesday, he finally came back to the mound.
He pitched really well, giving his team a strong start.
His team, the Texas Rangers, beat the San Francisco Giants 6 to 0.
One of Bradford's teammates, Justin Foscue, hit a triple that brought two runners home.
The Rangers did not let the Giants score any runs at all.
The Giants had a hard time hitting when runners were on base.
The Rangers have now won two games in a row and are trying to catch up to the first-place Houston team.
Cody Bradford pitched 4 1/3 effective innings in his first appearance since September 2024, returning after elbow surgery in June 2025.
Justin Foscue's two-run triple highlighted a four-run third inning as the Rangers beat the Giants 6-0.
Brandon Nimmo drove in two runs, including a home run down the left field line in the fifth inning off Carson Seymour.
The Rangers improved to 57-58 with a second straight win and trail first-place Houston by 1 1/2 games.
The Giants fell to 48-67, 19 games under .500 for the first time this season, leaving 11 runners on base and going 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position.
