India's youth unemployment declines to 9.9% in 2025
In India, a very big country, many young people between the ages of 15 and 29 are looking for jobs.
The Indian government told Parliament that fewer young people are without jobs now.
In 2022, about 10.9 out of every 100 young Indians did not have a job.
By 2025, that number went down to 9.9 out of every 100.
The government says this happened because it is helping young people start businesses and learn new skills.
More young people are working now than before, the numbers show.
The government has given out many job appointment letters and is supporting small businesses and startups.

The Worker Population Ratio for the 15-29 age group rose from 38.5% in 2022 to 41.4% in 2025.
Since October 2022, over 12.5 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 19 Rozgar Melas across the country.
The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, covering 14 sectors, has attracted investments exceeding Rs 2.4 lakh crore and generated over 14.15 lakh jobs as of March 2026.
The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, with an outlay of Rs 99,446 crore, is expected to create more than 3.5 crore jobs over a two-year period.
