Xi Urges BRICS to Help Bring Peace to West Asia
Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke at the 18th BRICS summit in New Delhi.
He asked BRICS countries to help bring peace to West Asia and the Gulf region.
He said the war is hurting people and does not benefit the wider international community.
Xi called for talks, less fighting and a lasting ceasefire.
He also said BRICS should oppose countries interfering in one another’s internal affairs.
China will lead BRICS next and host the group’s next summit.

China will assume the rotating BRICS chair and host the 19th summit, with Xi proposing a new “golden decade” of cooperation.
