Ayodhya Land Circle Rates Rise Up to 200%
The government has updated the prices for land in Ayodhya, where the Ram Temple is being built.
These prices, called circle rates, haven't changed much since 2017, but now they've gone up, by as much as double!
This means that when people buy or sell land, they'll use these new, higher prices to figure out taxes.
The areas near the temple saw the biggest increases because land there is more valuable.
Ayodhya district administration increased land circle rates after the Supreme Court order for Ram Temple construction.
Circle rates increased by 30% to 200% in different areas.
The new rates were issued on June 7, with land registry at new rates starting recently.
Rates depend on land use and location, with highest increases near the Ram Temple.
The district magistrate approved the increase based on a proposal from September 4, 2024.
