Surat Textile Expo Draws 39,000 Buyers
A big textile and machinery show called SITME 2026 happened in Surat, India.
It was organized by two groups: the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Surat Embroidery Association.
The show ran for four days in January 2026.
Over 39,000 buyers came to see the latest textile machines, most of which were made in China.
The president of one of the organizing groups said that this show could bring in a lot of money, around Rs.
850 crore, for the textile industry in the next few months.
The show was open from 10 in the morning to 7 in the evening each day.
Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo (SITME) 2026 attracted over 39,000 buyers.

Expected investment from the expo is Rs. 850 crore in the next couple of months.
Most of the machinery displayed was imported from China.
The expo was held at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana, from January 9-12, 2026, from 10 AM to 7 PM daily.
