West Bengal Reports More Than 4,500 Dengue Cases This Year

West Bengal is seeing many dengue cases this year.

More than 4,500 infections have been reported.

Many of the cases appeared during the monsoon season.

Dengue is spread by infected Aedes mosquitoes.

Its early symptoms can look like the flu, including fever, headache and body aches.

Pain behind the eyes, vomiting and a skin rash can also suggest dengue.

People should see a doctor if they have sudden or persistent fever in an affected area.

Severe pain, bleeding, unusual sleepiness or trouble breathing requires urgent medical help.
