Punjab Women Benefit from DBT Scheme
The Punjab government has started a scheme to help women by putting money directly into their bank accounts.
This money is for women from different backgrounds, especially those from Scheduled Caste families.
The government has already given out ₹1,149 crore to about 33 lakh women.
Women like Sarabjit Kaur and Gagandeep Kaur say this helps them save money for important things like their children's education and household needs.
The government wants to make sure every eligible woman gets this help on time.
Axis Bank is helping with the money transfers.
Punjab government transferred ₹1,149 crore to 33 lakh women under the Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana.
