Groww Launches US Stock Investing as AI Demand Rises
Groww is an investment app based in Bengaluru.
It is starting a service that lets people in India buy shares of companies listed in the United States.
Users will be able to invest in companies such as Apple, Google and Tesla.
They can also buy small pieces of expensive shares instead of a whole share.
Groww says the service will offer more than 10,000 stocks and funds.
The company is working with Alpaca Securities to provide the service.
Groww is adding this feature as more Indian investors show interest in US technology, AI and other industries.
The move also gives Groww another way to earn money besides futures and options trading.
Groww has begun introducing US stock investing on its app, with access expected for all users within a month.
The service is being offered through GIFT City after approval from the International Financial Services Authority in July.
Groww has partnered with Alpaca Securities to provide access to more than 10,000 US stocks and ETFs.
Users can buy fractional shares of US-listed companies including Google, Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Amazon and Meta.
The expansion is intended to diversify Groww beyond futures and options as Indian interest in US technology and AI companies grows.
