The Odyssey Surpasses $900M Worldwide in Third Weekend
Christopher Nolan’s new movie, The Odyssey, is doing very well at the box office.
In its third week in theaters, it earned more than $900 million from people all over the world.
That makes it the fifth biggest movie of the year so far.
It made the most money in the U.S. for a Nolan film that isn’t a Batman movie.
The superhero film Spider‑Man: Brand New Day is its main competition, and it might reach $1 billion first, but The Odyssey is expected to hit that milestone soon too.
The Odyssey crossed $900 million worldwide in its third weekend.
Total global gross reached $911 million, with $395.5 million domestic and $515 million international.
It is the fifth-highest grossing film of 2024 behind Toy Story 5, Michael, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and Spider‑Man: Brand New Day.
The film achieved Nolan’s biggest domestic opening outside the Batman franchise.
Spider‑Man: Brand New Day is its main competitor, projected to hit $1B first.
