NCB Busts Drug Lab in Mysuru
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) found a secret drug lab in Mysuru that was making a dangerous drug called Mephedrone.
The lab was hidden inside a cleaning chemical factory.
The NCB stopped a car in Gujarat and found 35 kg of Mephedrone inside.
The main person behind this drug operation is Mahindra Kumar Vishnoi, who started making drugs after getting ideas from other inmates in jail.
The NCB also found a lot of money and other drugs in the lab.
They are working to stop people from making and selling these illegal drugs.
NCB intercepted a vehicle in Gujarat carrying 35 kg of Mephedrone and arrested three people, including the mastermind Mahindra Kumar Vishnoi.
Vishnoi set up a clandestine lab in Mysuru's Hebbal Industrial Area, operating under the guise of a chemical cleaning business.
The lab was established in 2024 and had been successfully manufacturing and distributing multiple consignments of Mephedrone.
Drugs worth ₹10 crore, ₹25.6 lakh in cash, and various chemicals were seized, with all accused originating from Jalore district, Rajasthan.
The NCB has alerted states and manufacturers about the misuse of Bromo-4-Methylpropiophenone and Mono Methylamine for making Mephedrone.
