MP High Court Orders Father's Name in School Records
The Madhya Pradesh High Court recently made a decision about a father who wanted his name to be included in his son's school records.
The father and mother were having a legal dispute, and the mother did not want the father's name in the school records.
The court said that the father's name should be included because it is important for the child's future documents like passport and Aadhaar card.
The court also said that the father should be able to see how his son is doing in school, but he should not be able to talk to the school staff directly.
The court told the school and education authorities to make sure the father's name is added to the records.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court ruled that a biological father's name must be included in his child's school records despite an ongoing marital dispute.
The court directed the school to provide the father with limited access to his son's academic progress through the school app.
The decision was made to ensure the child's educational and social well-being is not affected by the parents' dispute.
The court cited the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act to support its decision.
The district education officer and district project coordinator were directed to ensure compliance with the court's order.
