EPFO 3.0: New Portal, AI Tools
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in India is getting a big upgrade called EPFO 3.0.
This upgrade will include a new website, better technology, and AI tools to help people understand information in their own languages.
The EPFO is also working on a system that will let people manage their funds from anywhere in the country, similar to how banks work.
They are also planning to let people withdraw money using UPI, with a limit of Rs 25,000 per transaction.
The EPFO has already made it easier for people to correct their personal details online.
These changes are happening because the EPFO is growing and wants to serve more people, including those who work in different types of jobs.
EPFO 3.0 includes a new portal, core banking solution, and AI-powered language translation tools.
The core banking solution will enable centralised operations, allowing members to resolve issues at any centre.
EPFO is likely to administer funds for unorganised workers, separate from the social security fund for gig workers.
The UPI-linked facility for withdrawals is expected to be rolled out by April, with an initial withdrawal cap of Rs 25,000.
EPFO has simplified processes, including self-correction of personal details, with 32.23 lakh corrections made by December 2025.
