Nashik Murder-Suicide: Woman Stabbed, Accused Hangs

A 20-year-old woman named Vaishnavi Avare was stabbed to death by a 26-year-old man named Sahil Ashok Lavare in Nashik, Maharashtra.

The incident happened late on Friday night near a temple in the Indiranagar area.

The couple had been in a live-in relationship for two years, but the woman had moved to Nashik after they broke up.

The attack occurred during a heated argument that lasted around 30 minutes, after the woman refused to marry the accused and was planning to marry someone else.

Residents heard the victim's screams and rushed to the spot, but the accused had already fled by the time they arrived.

The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

A few hours later, the accused was found hanging from a tree at a nearby jogging track, suspected to be a case of suicide.

The victim had spoken to her fiancé just minutes before the crime, urgently telling him, 'Sahil is here, come quickly.'

The fiancé rushed to the scene and remained on the call, listening to the pair argue for nearly half an hour before the accused informed him that the woman had been killed.
