CITU Demands Release of Pending Medco Doctors’ Stipends
CITU leaders are asking the state government to pay doctors their overdue stipends.
They supported doctors who were protesting at a government hospital in Gadwal.
The leaders said these doctors completed medical studies abroad and passed the FMGE exam.
They said the doctors should receive Rs 29,792 each month during a one-year internship.
Instead, they said, the doctors have received only Rs 5,000 per month for three years.
They also said even that smaller payment has not been paid since last year.
CITU says the delayed payments are causing doctors serious hardship.
