Blue Origin Plans 5,408 Satellites for TeraWave Network
Blue Origin, a company owned by Jeff Bezos, wants to put 5,408 satellites in space to create a super-fast internet network called TeraWave.
This network will help big companies, governments, and data centers share lots of information quickly.
The satellites will start going up in 2027 and will be able to send data at speeds of up to 6 Tbps, which is much faster than what most people use at home.
Blue Origin says this network is special because it's made just for big businesses, not regular people.
They will use a rocket called New Glenn to send the satellites into space.
This is similar to what SpaceX is doing with its Starlink network, but Blue Origin's network will be for different kinds of customers.
Blue Origin plans to deploy 5,408 satellites for the TeraWave network.
Deployment is set to begin in the last quarter of 2027.
The network will offer data speeds of up to 6 Tbps.
TeraWave is designed for enterprise customers, not individual consumers.
Blue Origin will use its New Glenn rocket for satellite deployment.
