Mercedes-Benz Recalls Several Models in India Over Fire Risk
Mercedes-Benz is recalling some of its cars in India because there's a chance they could catch fire.
This is due to a problem with how the fuse boxes were made.
If the fuses aren't working right, parts of the car might stop working, like the engine or airbags.
The company has identified over 30 affected vehicles, including the EQS sedan, S-Class, GLC, and AMG SL.
Owners who bought these cars between July 2023 and March 2024 will be contacted to fix the problem for free.
Mercedes-Benz has taken similar actions before to address potential safety issues.
Mercedes-Benz recalled multiple models in India due to a potential fire risk.
The recall affects models including the EQS sedan, S-Class, GLC, and AMG SL.
Over 30 units are affected, including 16 EQS sedans, nine S-Class models, three GLC, and two AMG SLs.
The issue stems from incorrectly reworked fuse boxes, which could lead to system failure.
Mercedes-Benz will contact owners of affected vehicles to repair the issue at no cost.
