MLC Urges Immediate Road Repairs in Coastal Karnataka
An official named Dr. Bhandari wants the government to fix the roads in two areas because they're dangerous.
He says the roads are causing too many accidents, especially on the SH-52 road.
He is also worried about the Kandlaur bridge.
He thinks fixing the roads and the bridge will make things safer and help the local economy.
He's asking the government to quickly start fixing things, and is suggesting that they consider tunnels in the ghats for longer-term improvements.
MLC Dr. Manjunath Bhandari urged the Chief Minister to repair roads.
Deteriorating roads have led to a sharp rise in accidents.
Dakshina Kannada saw 702 accidents, 122 deaths and 815 injuries in 2025.
SH-52, a 93-km road, has remained narrow for many years.
Dr. Bhandari wants immediate action, including potential tunnel roads.
