Jaguar Unveils Type 01 Electric Grand Tourer Ahead of 2027
Jaguar has shown a new electric car called the Type 01.
It has four doors and a long, fastback-shaped body.
Jaguar says its design takes inspiration from some older Jaguar cars.
The company says the car can travel 400 miles under European testing rules.
A very powerful charger can add 320km of range in 13 minutes, Jaguar says.
The car is expected to reach customers in 2027.
Jaguar managing director Rawdon Glover described it as a luxury grand tourer for a new era.
The article says Jaguar has shifted its message from its earlier “Copy Nothing” campaign toward the qualities buyers associate with the brand.
Jaguar introduced the four-door Type 01 at an event in New York last week.
Deliveries are expected to begin in 2027.
The car uses Jaguar Electric Architecture and an 850V electrical system, with a claimed 400-mile range under European testing standards.

The Type 01 is rated at up to 1,030ps and 1,365Nm, with a 0–100kmph time of 3.2 seconds.
