CPS Employees Plan Guntur Programme Seeking Old Pension Scheme
Employees and teachers in Andhra Pradesh who are covered by the Contributory Pension Scheme plan to meet in Guntur on September 1.
They will hold a programme called ‘Samara Sankham.’
The group wants the current pension scheme to be scrapped.
It says the issue is about more than money taken from workers’ salaries.
The group believes the scheme affects how securely employees and their families can live after retirement.
Cheerla Kiran said every employee will one day become a pensioner.
He pointed to five states that have moved from the National Pension System toward the Old Pension Scheme.
The association is asking why Andhra Pradesh should not do the same.
